Receive resident petitions at a public meeting and post a written answer

Stanford researchers found people who took part in deliberative polls followed politics more closely and voted more, nearly a year later. We ask Scottsdale’s governing body to set a standing agenda time to receive petitions residents deliver, and to post a written answer to each one.

When it reaches the goal it’s handed to the officials named above at a public meeting, and their answer is posted online. This is a petition to your elected officials — like the clipboard at the courthouse door. It does not put anything on the ballot; that takes the state’s official petition process.
